Natalie Arroyo Camacho

As a writer and first-generation Mexican American born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, I'm passionate about celebrating the communities in the 818. That passion fueled the founding of Viva the Valley in November 2020 and it continues to fuel its upkeeping. Full time, I'm a writer and editor at California State University, Northridge. I also am a freelancer and work with editors at websites and magazines as well as small business owners who want to share more on their business blogs.

Hey, y’all! It’s Natalie Arroyo Camacho, founding editor of Viva the Valley (@personatalieeee). As you may have seen, I’m currently looking for writers to contribute to the site. Some details:
On Saturday, we posted this to our stories and asked where we were at. Raise your hand — and your beer — if you got it right.🍻🙋🏿🙋🏾‍♀️ 🙋🏽‍♀️
It’s too hot to cook dinner, so just order some pizza!
The Canoga Park Vallarta is hands down the dopest one in the Valley — don’t @ us. New story about this lil slice of México at the #LinkInBio #VivaTheValley
It’s Taco Tuesday! Don’t risk getting some bland tacos — check out this list of bomb, locally own Valley spots 🍻 #LinkInBio
It’s Monday, and we’re counting down the hours until we can be vibin’ and sippin’ on a cocktail at @trumanhousetavern. ⏳🤤
To get through the last day of the week, pick up a coffee from a locally owned shop instead of that corporate mermaid brand. You’ll thank us later 😉 (As always, the link is in our bio!)
Tbh Sherman Way is an underrated Valley street. Which other streets deserve more respect? 🧐
Did someone say they need dinner plans? 🧐 Check out the #LinkInBio for a full round-up of some seriously fire Mediterranean spots in the #SanFernandoValley. Special shout-out to @donnarose___ for her research and input on this!
Valley girl Jess Fuentes, aka @jd.elle, researched and wrote a piece for #VivaTheValley just in time for summer! Head to the link in bio for a list of her favorite micheladas in #TheValley. (📸: @jd.elle)
To keep the San Fernando Valley diverse, we have to support the businesses that make it that way.
@cookiesbyjoe dropped off a batch of her delicious cookies the other day and they didn’t last long 😂
