8 Mouth-Watering Hot Chicken Places in the Valley

Hot chicken is all the rave among foodies, and the San Fernando Valley is serving it ~hot~. The one photographed here is from Hawaiian Hot Chicken in Northridge.

We get it: Hot chicken is the new foodie sh*t.

We’re all about giving the (Valley) people what they want, so scroll through the list to see what the Valley has to offer when it comes to hot chicken.

1. Hawaiian Hot Chicken, Northridge

This might be the standout of the bunch because it’s the only hot chicken spot that uses King’s Hawaiian buns. The spiciness of the chicken paired with the sweetness of the Hawaiian buns is truly a party in your mouth.

2. Dave’s Hot Chicken, North Hollywood

Dave and three of his friends started their hot chicken business in an East Hollywood parking lot in 2017. Today, you can get their amazing hot chicken (and mac and cheese, duh!) in North Hollywood, but they have a Northridge location coming soon.

3. Angry Chickz, Panorama City

The Angry Chickz website says their Valley location is in Van Nuys, but it’s most definitely in Panorama City (no shade). We’ll forgive them, though, because their hot chicken and sides are fire.

4. The Kluckin’ Chicken, Sherman Oaks

This particular hot chicken joint is special for multiple reasons, one of which is the fact that they’re open until 2 a.m. daily, according to their Instagram. If you need hot chicken late-night, look no further.

5. Al’s Hot Chicken, Sherman Oaks

One of the only hot chicken places on Ventura Boulevard, Al’s Hot Chicken had to earn its place on the iconic Valley street by proving that their hot chicken was worth the hype — and they did.

6. Lettuce Feast, locations vary

This is hands down one of the best food trucks in the Valley — their hot chicken is among the best on this list. And it’s vegan!

7. Bangin’ Buns, North Hollywood

Unlike other spots in this guide, Bangin’ Buns was born and raised in the Valley — like us! Their first-ever location was on Sherman Way in North Hollywood and Bangin’ Buns is now expanding to “LA proper.”

8. Hot Motha Clucker, Sherman Oaks

To be real, Hot Motha Clucker’s pop-up has a lot of options. It can be a bit overwhelming to look at their menu, so it’s good to know customer favorites: loaded tender fries and two chicken tenders.
